Just a quick heads up regarding Formby Point - at this time of year the squirrels car park where you are meeting is not free but the car park at the end of the beach on Lifeboat Road is free. There are ice cream vans there too but no toilets. So in short if you need toilets then stick with the squirrels car park on Victoria Rd otherwise you'd be better parking on Lifeboat Rd car park. Plus the level crossing is broken at the moment so you have to go all the way round over the hill by Formby Station. Let me know what the plan is though so I can come!
Same as before folks, if you're coming through Formby you can follow the signs to Formby point which will take you to the level crossing at the top of Victoria Rd and follow the diversions or if you're familiar with the area turn at the Cross House Inn pub and go over the bridge by Formby train station and follow the diversion signs from there. Woodlands Rd leading to Harrington Rd will take you to the woods.
