  5. The coppers are easily bribed ...

Can't understand anyone travelling in Forrin parts without full paper documentation , even pre Brexit.

not been like that years , they changed it because of a question over which person suggested it was required and their affiliations to the company selling them

  8. They do like to see “your papers”, those continental types.

One of the quietly pleasing aspects of the Brits is that we don’t live in a barely-disguised police state like France, Spain and Italy.

  9. They pick on the locals too, it's often completely random, unless you're 'enchufada'.

Parked when they've got works planned? One local copper will call you, or at least try, another will simply have you towed and charge you 60Euro for the privilege of retrieving your car.

  10. So they had a 'Breathalyser-gate'? :D

I think in true French style you had to have a breathalyser but there was no penalty if you didn’t

    Ooh,
Of course you are right. My post however was meant in good faith to make those less well aware than Yourself , such as I , of the way past and current requirements are being dealt with as of now.

I do even think we needed to carry our own medical packs including sealed syringes, needles, dressings, etc,in case of accidents.

  19. Thanks for heads up, we have had many trip abroad carry copies of everything and we going very soon never been stopped. Always carry beam deflectors but never fit them as our lights are crap anyway on our T6. In Spain you need at least 2 traingles and soon I believe a magnetic flashing beacon is law. Dont forget if you go into many french cities a crit air sticker is also a fine saver now all out there if you google which we normally do when sat on M25 on the way to the eurotunnel.....

know how you feel…… as for the beam deflectors. …it would need an O.U degree to read the Halfords description. My T2 lights are ok. I just cut the round bit out and stuck it on ……it’s sunny so at least they can see the effort made !
