  8. I use a 240 volt impact gun
Great for the rear hub nuts aswell

  9. Having recently bought one on @SkutterBob 's recommendation, I wish I'd got one long ago. I had to loosen my flywheel nut using a 6ft fence pole with an ample Cornishman standing on the crankcase.

  10. i'm off to my local garage to borrow the air gun as I broke my breaker bar trying to undo one, I must of tightened it too much last time I fitted a new seal.

I also ratchet strap the engine to the work bench so it won't move when hanging off the breaker bar............

  11. They are a very handy thing to have

  12. I went down market and used an ample brummie and a 6ft scaff pole lol

  13. If you're still struggling @chrisniclia1 , worth getting down to Machine Mart for one of the rattle guns (about £60). Should be painless. Looks like you've got the impact socket already.

Also good for your rear hub nuts...

  14. If youve got help shove engine in your car or mates car ect run down the local garage with socket smike sweetly and they will rattle it off in seconds with the engine still in the boot. Did this before i had a brummie and a scaff bar

    The t I
It might seem expemsive but you can undo and do up the nut with a normal socket spanner with one hand without having to hold the engine down at all.

    Really civilised.

It's a lot of money for most people, who presumably think they'll only ever do this job once.

Ideally you need a 3/4 inch socket and so you can really jump on it without bending the bar, Lorry tackle
