Am I going mad or is there anybody else out there who gets them? It's usually smells or odours that send me on a retro ride into the past....sometimes when administrating coconut shower gel I 'wake up' on a beach in the Cote d'azur surrounded by Femme fatale in their glorious nubileness or using WD40 takes me back to xmas holidays 1975 helping my dad shimming up the tappet followers on his then lotus elan 2+2. Today I cooked a simple peasant dish of my own creation ( I'm always the one who has to cook when there's feck all in the larder) which included a solitary jar or capers which had been lurking at the back of the cupboard. I duly added the entire contents to the pot and KAPOW! :dizzy: I rubbed my eyes... yawned.....opened the sliding door and their I was on that beach in Kefalonia - Greece, with the fresh salty morning air rolling up into the van and the gentle sound of waves on that pebble beach....is it just me...am i alone, am I going barkers?? ???
I get this but not often and occasionally manage to concentrate on the sensation and let my imagination do the rest. Its only a few seconds and I cant do it very often but I'm almost there. Its vivid and almost real. Wish it happened more often so I could master it. Its almost time travel. No Im not a complete tinfoil hat space cadet. Im sure someone reading this or perhaps everyone reading this knows what I mean but ive never discussed it before.

If you watch that vid on this page scroll so that you can see the Chewie I believe our work here is now complete
I don't get flashbacks, but I do get alot of dreams from when I enlisted in the Army, mainly of feeling trapped and not able to escape. I thought I would give it a go as I had been in Army Cadets and loved it. I joined up and hated it. I had to serve 6 weeks (half of basic) before I could be discharged. I also got very ill, got a chest infection, then a secondary infection and ended up with pneumonia! It kicked in on the train ride home.
I get flashbacks the morning after a heavy drinking session, And quite often put my head in my hands thinking 'i did that!'? I also have flashbacks to some TLB events and they usually make me laugh out loud
