Fitting the dash to fresh air

  1. We have had a new front panel fitted and were about to fit the dash but nothing to bolt through. Looked at other vans in the workshop and they have a profiled angle to bolt the dash to on each side. Cant seem to find them anywhere on line so might need to get started mething made up. Bit disappointing as think the panel was a genuine part and too late to salvage the old ones.

Anyone had the same issue or know where to get them from?

The inner panel doesn't come with the dash fixings. There were as you describe on earlier buses, but simple angle brackets later, one for each fixing. Earlier are easier to position. Your welder should have put them back, not to do so is pretty hopeless IMO.

  3. Thanks, certainly popping a single bracket into each position will be easier. We can offer the dash into position mark the holes, fit some brackets and hopefully all will align!

From experience i would make them wider than you think and fit before drilling holes in them for the spire clips.
