Fitting door cards etc

  1. Just got some smart looking door cards and kick panels from Delilahs.

Is there any cunning technique to fitting the clips in the right place and properly aligned other than brute force, patience and a bucket load of swearing?

Also any suggestions on how to bend the drivers kick panel into position without the pedals getting in the way? The other kick panel went in a dream!!!

  4. Make sure you have the right sized bungs. I got some recently which were too big for the holes in my 79 doors. You can force them in but the clips are then too tight. Alternatively you could enlarge the holes but JK does some smaller bungs, part no J12808 which fit fine. These are listed as being for 67-72 models.

  5. If they are hardboard you can wet the back of the kick boards a bit and then they will bend easier. When they dry they then dry into the curved position and so stay fixed better.
