Right guys, if any of you have been ready my threads then you have most likely realised that I find it very hard to make my mind up. But I can assure you with alot of deliberation I finally have managed it. My green beetle which you may have seen on here is up for sale. I am going to use the funds from the sale to finish off my camper which only really needs a whole new interior and then will be pukka. My cream early 67 'barn' find I have decided to faithfully restore to its original which I realise will take me more time but when it is finished I will be left with a mint original example. I have come to this decision after speaking to the previous owner of the beetle who has what only can be explained as the best service history of the vehicle in history. Every mot, every receipt. Even the original log book. Little did I know but the little beetle has only had 4 owners, including me! Every thing on it is original bar a few period upgrades like the spot lights and the erberspacher heater. I cant bring myself to let such a gem go. So i will crack on with doing the best resto I can. I think with the way I came across the car it must have been fate or something hippy like that. In any case there are two thing to take from this post. Firstly, if you want a pukka looking green beetle PM me to discuss and secondly I hope no one minds but I will be posting the resto like on here as I feel like I know you lot more than any other forum. Good luck. My dads just finished a Beetle resto. Did the whole thing in his single car garage including the respray! Took a few yeara but finally booked the MOT.
