I feel we should have a nominated resident film critic here on TLB. (1) To save our hard earned wonga being spent on sub standard hyped up 'Blockbusters'. (2) To save the time on not seeing the film and spending it more wisely on getting on with our resto's (3) To just reliving the film that we haven't actually seen our selves but through the eyes of the nominated film critic, a bit like listening to a footie match on Radio 5 live, sometimes words are more provocative that vision. I here by nominate 'Hector-the-Bay' for his interpretation of the 'Grey'... 'the first 10 mins is amazing and then it nose dives( no pun intended) into a boring pile of the brown stuf' And ...'berwolf or something.. yea thats pants as well!' Nice one Hector..You have my vote ;D Is there any more nominees worthy?
I find by watching the trailers you've seen the best bits so never buy/rent or go to see films these days.
Love the movies! I've been going to the Secret Cinemas where you dress up and they recreate the film. Lawrence of Arabia had camels and horses on Alexandria Palace! Blade Runner (the best sic movie of all time fact) was the best, being tested as a replicant was freaky! We should have a permanent movie critique thread.
Fantastic idea - but very subjective no? I'd have things like Bladerunner, Midnight Express, Memento as 'top' films but then I'd also have what many consider poo films in my 'loved-it' list (like :-[50 first dates). To pinch Rickyrooos line 'I'll get my coat'
