When you book a ferry for the bus, say from Harwich to Amsterdam., is the bus classed as a car? Which option would you use? options given: Car, MPV, 4x4, under 1.8m high Car, MPV, 4x4, over 1.8m high motorhome to minibus to 6m long motorhome to minibus to 10m long motorhome to minibus to 12m long bikes etc
When I booked up with Brittany ferries they told me I was a MPV vehicle that was in my crew cab, I went for the higher option too. It was only an extra £50 On top of a car reason being I didn't want the hassle if they said anything and checked. When we were There I didn't see anybody looking at the vehicles height or length.
we are planing a trip to Holland next year and intend to book our camper as Car, MPV, 4x4, over 1.8m high
When we went to France last year with P&O we booked as a car.. "Car, MPV, 4x4, over 1.8m high" I would have been qute happy to argue with em had they of wanted to charge me more.
We booked mine as the lower one. I was waiting for the argument and then l was going to plead ignorance and say I'd measured a friends lowered bus when Mark called to ask about the height. Needless to say we were not stopped or asked.
