The first Mercedes camper ...nice motor . A mate of mine had a flat bed pick up of that model ...seem to remember it had a tubular chassis bloody strong vehicle . May not be tubular on the bus mind .....quite a big diesel in them too can't remember what size .
Great aren't they ...have the cred of bay with bags of room . Although the diesel engine is a fair size ...seem to remember they quite economical . It's still low enough not to be too restricted like other bigger RV's .
the one above was owned by a German couple and had a glue on the roof but can’t remember if for gas, or wood. I wanted it!
oops! It’s late. Flue I’ve got an apparently invisible mozzie buzzing by the side of the bed distractingly. I think it’s waiting for me to sleep then will sting me unnecessarily
I spoke to the couple (whether they liked it, or not) in Lyon in early October and they said they were on a road trip. I’m still jealous!!
Unfortunately the bus was parked up near the beach with nobody at home, so I didn't meet them. I'd arrived by air, but it'd be a great place to camp that time of year.
