Exhaust vibration

  1. See pic is there a bracket/part for the exhaust to support, when Idle can have vibration that causes noise and will be no doubt straining the joint/weld?

Should be a 1mm thick stainless steel band making up a sort of P clip that goes onto one of the header pipes.
That tab then bolts to the band.
Should have come with a complete kit, but not the silencer by itself.

I had to replace my silencer because even with the band joining the tag to the header pipe, both inlet and outlet pipes on the silencer ended up with cracks around them in the sides of the silencer box. Took about 120k miles. Had to hack things to remove the galled together stainless nut and bolt holding the old silencer box to the band. 20240331_141207.jpg
Yes its a stainless exhaust but theres a small pushrod tube leak that just makes a bit of a mess that then picks up dirt on the box, and the header tube is just that colour after many miles.
