hey guys. Im taking apart my cylinder heads.. ive taken all the valves out to clean the head and replace the valves. got a few questions.. 1. how much play should there be in the valves, i pulled the old valves out about an inch and wiggled side to side and there is a little bit of play. 2. both of the exhaust valves and one of the inlet valves had fat washer/spacer on the end of the valve before the collettes, are all 4 supposed to have them?
If someones been there once and not changed the valves, I would change them to be honest as if one drops the cost will be far more than a few valves mate
yeah ive already got new valves on the way. just didnt know what the little lash caps were. i looked in the haynes and it says 0.8mm max valve movement. so ill check that tomorrow.
