Finally got round to saying hello on here, i've been lurking for a few months since i met another memberup at VW Action. I live in West london, and currently have a '78 Westy Berlin and a '57 GP Buggy Hope to meet some new faces at a show soon!!
Whereabouts are you noddy? We have finally decided to head out to brisbane, and just started on the visa process ;D
Fancy-bug, we're on the south coast of NSW about 2 hours south of Sydney. You'll be pleased to know there are lots of VW peeps in Brisbane & surrounds.
We drove down from sydney all the way to adelaide last february, and had a blast, even though it was quite wet this time.
It sure isn't wet this year Bushfires everywhere, highways cut & houses turned to ash in a matter of moments. Let me know when you get here & I can introduce you to some of the Brisbane VW lot, a few of them are almost civilised & there are a couple of poms who even brought their splitty out from the U.K. with them ;D
My family are down in traralgon in vic, and they were saying its been pretty bad with them, and very hot, friends in both sydney and brisbane have been quite lucky and not really effected. We joined kombi club when we were out there after meeting a few folks whilst in the hire van, but any introductions would be very welcome, thenkyou. We too are looking to take the bus out with us, as cant face building another now wehavethis oneall sorted, plus its not that expensive to shipit atthe moment!!
