European Breakdown

  1. Anyone have any advice on who to go with for euro breakdown cover - quotes so far are £150+...!!!!

  2. May or may not help.....

I get free breakdown cover with my bank account (Barclays). And despite it appearing not to cover you it does. In the event that you breakdown I think theres an excess to pay. I checked this before my France trip last year.

So first advice see if you have breakdown cover with your bank account perks.

    :D

  3. £150 is still cheaper than paying to be towed off a motorway

  4. You get free breakdown cover (euro and UK) with Peter James or go with Autoaid via Boncaster Insurance services (Moneysaving expert has the gunf on this) they cover Europe also and all for £36 you get the full service the AA and RAC offer - homestart relay etc etc etc but its a you pay first then claim back service - otherwise its the same as any breakdown - I have used them before they were good and I got my money back in about a week.

It covers you not the car, but worth checking with them if they cover your van - a commercial panel van is not covered but I think campers are? Hope this helps
