Eskdale Dubfest - Brand new Lake District weekend!

That sounds like a winner, it's my other halves 50th on 6th April, that would be a cool weekender!!!

 

Have you booked ? I think it's full, we filled it within about an hour one night i reckon

 

Just been reading in the Caravan and Camping Club magazine that this could have been sold three times over. They are going to do a Halloween Camp 30th October to 1st November. Phone 019467 23253 to book.

Anyone coming up past casleford for Eskdale...ont friday.....could convoy?

 

if people are going to travel en masse on the friday and depending which route they are going i'll join your convoy when you get up this way that is. thats if i get the engine back in the van. hopefully by then it will of warmed up a bit., is anyone a member of the ccclub, if so are you allowed open fires on site if off the grass i.e claim its a big bbq and not a fire pit...........

Is anyone bringing an event shelter (or similar) so we can all stay dry when the april showers come?

 

Not sure what Camping and Caravan Club sites allow......I know Caravan Club wardens can be ......lets just say...officious!
However as it's a special event anything may go.
Never been to Lakes /Cumbria.....have been promised sunshine from dawn till dusk....so sun shelters would be more appropriate !

 

Well this year so far we've had 56 days of rain in Cumbria. Its been a tad wet so i'm not holding out much hope for a dry weekend.

 

I'm looking forward to this, proper stunning location

No thank goodness ,just had 2 cokerhoops and now on sneklifter , got a slow cooked lamb shoulder on its way , only another 16 days of this torture

i'm taking my dog and will have a new puppy in tow.
i live in the lake district and i havn't noticed any rain at all this year so far...
saying that i live under my van at the moment to get it ready so i wouldn't notice any
