The switch lights up green, once stat is turned clockwise above ambient temperature. Which is fine. Can anyone tell me how to use the switch as a timer ? Is this the norm? Lastly is it a take the chill off before starting your journey?
Push the switch in and turn it clockwise , that gives a 10 minute timer when the ignition is off, make sure the heater controls are in the hot position, all the way down
never used mine on the timer. i just switch it on, van gets very hot very quickly then i switch it off again it can be used parked up engine off, or engine running or whilst on the move. i've found that for winter use its great to get the van toasty before you start a drive, then the engine heating can maintain the temp as you drive.. manual; http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/1979eberspacher_ba6_operation.php repair/ troubleshooting: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/1977eberspacher_ba6_repair_manual.php
