I’ve always wanted one… ever since I saw the one up the road started up on a cold morning when I was a nipper waiting for the school bus ,
Not only that I’m going to use my supply of castrol R in mine

And as usual at least 80 percent of you don’t even know what I’m on about

Got to agree with you once again… used to walk past the local Wartburg garage on the way to school…. somehow looked modern next to the “normal “ stuff…loved the estate version.

 

I thought the same about the Citroen BX when I first clapped eyes on one in France ..... Right at the start of the trend in using plastics to get the weight down, and easy to replace panels iirc

 

I had 2 of those a long time ago.

 

I remember seeing this in your workshop years ago ! It was vandalised if I remember correctly ? Do you still have it ?

 

swapped it for a bmw , it’s been converted by the new owner to electric

 

Would absolutely love another one of these. My first car…but I put a 1.5 Stanza engine in it. Went quicker than a Fiesta XR2, from a standing start. Still a great looking car, I think.
