Enviromentalism gone mad

  1. The problem with Governments is their short-term views, due to their short-term lifespan. The same applies to enviromentalists - many of who are nothing more than folk jumping on the fashionable band wagon. To some it's so trendy and cool. To me, it's pathetic and short sighted. I'd be far happier if someone like Prince Charles or William were to have responsibility to dealing with our country's long term plight. Right now, billions are being WASTED on developing and encouraging electric cars, as well as siting hundreds of wind turbines in the North Sea and proposing to do the same across the beautiful Welsh countryside. These things are simply massive! Yet, the amount of power they produce is so incredibly small.

Yet, look a few years ahead, say 10 to 25 years, and both electric cars and wind turbines will be a thing of the past. Governments and enviromentalists are mad in thinking electric cars are the 'zero-carbon solution'. That's BS. For heavens sake, you have to charge them up overnight. Where do they think the power comes from?! Power stations! And in 10 to 25 years time, they'll have to spend billions again in dismantling 1000s of wind turbines. What a bunch of plonkers.

The future of cars is HYDROGEN. The future of power stations is OSMOTIC power. It's often said that the answer to any difficult question is right in front of your eyes. Water! Two thirds of our planet's covered in it.

  2. I've got to agree with you on the electric car thing.

The amount of pollution/C02 used in producing the batteries alone is huge, then they are transported half way around the world to the car manufacturers.

Then in 15 years time they will have to spend a fortune in disposal (although perhapse by then technologies may make things easier/cheaper)

IMHO keeping old classic vehicles/existing vehicles on the road is much more environmentaly friendly than producing new ones

hydrogen -- every one will say energy needed to create it means its not worthwhile , rubbish it can be produced with a 5th of of the power it creates , why dya think nasa sends its rockets to space on it .

  4. space shuttle is fueled by aluminum and ammonium perclorate, then hydrozine once in space .....cool or what
