Engine out....

I 'm planning to drop my engine on Monday to check/replace the fuel breather and filler pipes.

My question is, do I need to drain the oil if I'm just dropping the engine briefly, then refitting?

 

I think it depends in the type of oil , doesn't it?

No if you can keep the engine pretty level on removal, then again if it's near oil change time just change it anyway.

 

And it will be lighter

 

Only recently changed the oil so will leave it in!

 

Just don't stand it on its end dude
