I’ve got some for sale if anyone wants one. Slightly different set up to the ones you’re talking about. This one will work on android or iPhone and the picture is superb. What’s a little different is that it’s not connected directly to your devise, it has it s own wi fi unit and power supply and works with a free app, has a range of about five plus metres. Also has lights with varying brightness. This one can be a boroscope or an endoscope with interchangeable head units plus a magnet that mounts on the end, will pick up a tenmm nut or maybe more. One metre length is fifty five quid posted and the two metre length is seventy quid posted.

I have two that are in use plus two spares and I think four brand new ones. Two of each. I didn’t think when I got them that they would be as robust in the situations that I’d be putting them in but they are remarkably resilient to all sorts of abuse both physically and electrically. We haven’t managed to damage one ,,,,,,,,yet!!!! I bought some little lunch box type containers forthem so they’re not getting smashed to smithereens in the back of vehicles. Two broken boxes but no damaged scopes.

    Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, technology still surprises me.:)

Yes and no, if you shove it in a spark plug hole, it does let you see if you got a little crack in your head and if it’s starting to break down.

Yes mate, I’ll sort some out. As for the specs, I can only tell you what’s on the packaging, I’ll drag that out too. Funny enough, I popped into Lidl for some nanas on the way home and they got one in there that works on a wi fi set up for about forty quid I think. If you only wanted to use it once or twice it might be just the job.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,, surrounded by technology nowadays :)

  12. Lidl sells grandmothers now?

No KKKaty, well not exactly, but I have noticed there are a few hanging about in there, looking like they re up to no good. Maybe it’s a dating agency or venue for the gray peeps, I did have a mangled old granny following my investigations of the toys / tools department yesterday???

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,OOooohhhhh, perhaps I was in danger even :):):confused::):)

It’s a bit like we’re all following each other in parallel universes with all these stores becoming the same. The bit I Like, is you can take a screen shot then have a good old peruse and blow it up if you wants to. I’m now preferring Lidl and Aldi to most of the other supermarket types, mainly because of the toys in the middle.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,, them toys might be magnetic to me :)

  16. I bought a cheap one off eBay which is supposed to work for iPhone or android. It doesn’t work for either.

I bought the Lidl one on a whim at weekend and have been using it to inspect pipe boxing, floor voids etc for fire breaches. It’s spot on, the apps good too. The only downside is that it takes batteries, not sure how long they’ll last but it’s not a major problem with the infrequency it will be used.
