  1. [IMG] These have been sanded down and resprayed, I have added brand spanking new 195x65's today. I bought them for my bus but I really do prefer the standard look.

    £350 collection from Bournemouth [IMG]

    No chance.
Just thought I could read 86h which is under rated for a bay....

  5. Under rated for a bay?? We're talking about a vehicle that does 65mph, get with it!!

For the record, you're right, I am cheeky.
I'm also however right; and just offering you a bit of advice so you can buy the right tyres for your next set of wheels.

You're the one who told me to "get with it" when you didn't even understand my point.

  14. I'm no expert but the correct unladen rating should be 88 but there's a safety factor of 20%, did they have load ratings in 1972, I think not!! Anyway these wheels fit other vehicles and therefore I fail to see what the issue is?

  15. Actually yes - tyre load rating markings were introduced in 1972

I'm okay with the rating being pointed out Scott - not necessarily with the method.

Our buses require a load rating of around 102 to 104, ideally commercial rated tyres for the steel wheels fitted from new.

One of our buses runs a load rating of 98 on XL plus tyres, the other 102 load rated tyres!

Who knew "muppet" could be offensive!
You should have been here when Magical Trev was allowed on. He was incapable of using anything other than C***!
Apologies if it offended; your tyres are under rated for a kitted out bus though.

  19. The load index capacity is simply the amount of load that the tyre is designed to withstand. For example the figure 98, represents a point on a scale, in this case 750 kg. We have listed the most common numbers below, from 62 which represents 265 kg through a series of increments to 126, which is 1700 kg. However, this is not just the maximum weight of the car equally divided between the tyres. Most cars are heavier at the front end, as the tyres there are carrying the weight of the engine and transmission.
