FOR SALE Electrolux 3 way fridge

Discussion in 'Non Late Bay Classifieds' started by nimrodihnio, Jul 24, 2013.

  1. For spares or repair, I bought it earlier this year as fully working from this forum and only just plugged it today to install it in the van but it didn't work. Apart from that it is in reasonable condition. I gave it a good clean but would need baking soda and vinegar to remove the stains and brighten it back to near original. The shelves are missing and those were also promised to be found and sent but that never happened. Also need knobs (insert own double entendre here) I cant be arsed going back to the person who sold to me as working or messing about to fix it so its going for £10 spares or repair to at least get me a decent bottle of red to get over how much I spent buying and getting it couriered to me. I'm not sending it anywhere by post or courier so pick up only in South West london. £10

  3. I'm sure they wouldn't, wasn't a regular. Caveat emptor applies, all they have to say that it was working when they had it.

  6. Try leaving it on for 24 hrs sometimes they come back to life. :)
    Oh & I didn't sell it lol

  7. It it the same one as mine! :) have you tried leaving it upside down for a few hours as they get air bubbles trapped in them and then turn it right way up and put it on for a few hours on 240v and it should come back to life :)

This^ or even leave it upside down overnight, then leave it an hour and try it again.

  9. it wont work out of level and thats when the gas gets bubbles trapped in it , try tipping from one side to the othere and upside down leave for 30 mins and try it again @nimrodihnio

How far out of level? I've been having trouble with a 3way, seems to work ok in my kitchen..practically freezes stuff, took it camping and it didn't stay cold! Did the turning upside down trick and it worked again! Took it away again and it didn't stay cold, but works fine at home. Do they not like travelling?

  11. some of them need to be ultra level to work, you need ta buy a" spirit" level;) plus they dont do over 80

No leave the lid down and don't touch it. Tried it on 12v but the alternator can't cope and it drains the leisure battery too much.

  18. cheers for the tip, wouldnt wana drain me leisure, you could always bung it in the freezer before you leave:D ice berger n that:cool:

  19. I run my 3 way on 12v when I go away but only when driving as it will just about freeze everything and then switch to 240v when parked up and never use the gas as I haven't got it hooked up to it :)

  20. I get my 3 way cold for 24hrs on the mains before leaving, put frozen bacon in along with other stuff, shut and lock the door then turn on the gas on arrival.

I've found it works a treat - even keeping white wine and beer good and cold :)

The other things are a) stop the kids constantly opening the door and b) dont put warm stuff in if you can help it
