Caddy related but hopefully a sparky can help, removed the rear courtesy light to replace with led bar, the original light was the switch (rocker type light) could be on, off or on with doors opening, there are 3 wires, 1 earth and 2 lives?, the live that works "correctly" (when you unlock the door) is all ok but instead of going off when you drive it stays on for 15 mins (if you lock the door it goes off) the other live only comes on for a second when you lock the door then goes off. How do i make the light go off when i drive? join the 2 lives together? front courtesy is working fine by the way.
sorted now, the three wires are actually live, switched earth, and permanent earth, using the switched earth and perm live makes it work as required.
