Thinking about replacing the one in the lounge, has anybody got any reconmendations, it's got to be electric as that's all we got, no gas where I live. Is there any Eco type ones, low energy, ones with fans on etc etc I have economy 7 electric.
every night storage heater i have ever fitted is just some elements surrounded by some bricks, in a metal box with insulation they are all the same what ever each salesman says to you just phone around and find the cheapest
I have them and regret replacing my old ones with these new ones. My home is not as warm as it used to be in winter. Avoid the ones with fans. They will cool the bricks down and end up going cold before they switch back on at night.
I never saw the point in storage heaters - apart from in deepest winter, how do you know how cold it's going to be tomorrow? Do you end up opening the windows when you've banged them right up the night before and then find it's warmer than expected?
