Electric heating in a house options.

  2. There is a lot of bad press out there regarding ASHP and most of it is due to poor installations rather than a poor product. ASHP are not a new technology and have been around for 30yrs+ in Europe. The UK is slow to catch up on the renewable side of energy generation, compared to the gas boiler market ASHP and GSHP's installs are a drop in the ocean but 11,000 installs all can't be doomed otherwise I wouldn't have a job. :)

    If a GSHP is freezing the lawn then the collecter (pipe in the ground) has not been sized correctly.

    Its all about good design and implementation.

    When I was looking to replace my storage heaters I also thought that the rointe stuff was good and considered it a length but as there was gas in the road I when for central heating - with a gas boiler.
