Can it be done? Is it even advisable? Or just stick with a good multi purpose compost?

Maybe worth a try if your wanting to be greeted every morning

  3. Try mulching it down with a Kango hammer. Saw Bob Flowerdew do it, and his alpines came up a treat.

  4. It’s small and white so might not be too obtrusive!

I think you can sing Eidelweiss almost anywhere, on concrete, tarmac, wood, grass, sand, almost anywhere....except under water !

Ha ha, trying to fit all my family in is a task akin to concreting a path in itself :D

  12. Don't forget it's the Birmingham Festival of Being a Bit Miserable next weekend. Always a good day out

That reminds me of that old joke:
    Q) What’s the difference between a Brummie and a DC10?
    A) A DC10 stops whining once it gets to Benidorm.

I’m a Brummie so allowed to tell that joke. From a Non-Brummie it’s offensive

  14. Doctors often make the mistake of diagnosing patients as suffering from terrible manic depression. Then they realise they're just from Birmingham.
