  1. Looking for somewhere for the coming weekend Bridlington, Filey, Scarboro area - close(ish) to pub and sea. Recommendations appreciated - not a family one this time but meeting up with a couple of mates to chew the cud, have a couple of bevvys and shake down the bus :)

on the coast road approaching brid probably about 3 miles away coming from the south is a lovely cliff top site with a pub on the main road just at the entrance to the site, i think the pub has got the word 'rose' in the title but i can't recall..... as i can't for the site either! i realise this is pretty useless but i've stopped there and it was good, i guess the only way this helps is the [glow=red,2,300][glow=red,2,300]FACT[/glow][/glow] that i can say without doubt you can't miss it and you would easy get on this time of year. if i remember it i'll edit my post.

  3. Theres a camp site on the ouskirts of Filey - Filey Brigg Caravan site. spectacular views over the cliffs and filey brigg. walking distance to Filey where theres a good choice of pubs and food. Not stayed there, but I go to Filey a lot and it looks OK, I walk the dog up on the cliffs near it.

  5. We stayed in Bridlington last year (sorry can't remember where, but I wouldn't recommend it anyway!). We stopped at Fraisthorpe Beach on the way back, which I would thoroughly recommend, except for the part where I reversed into a van and had the police turn up at my door a week later ::) :(

    Filey is beautiful, also Sandsend.

  6. Oh and ask for a sea view pitch - I think there only a 1 or 2 pound supplement but you wont disturb anyone then
