Set of original Devon pop top springs (from early devon roof) used to hold up the old pop top OK but I upgraded to the stronger JK springs so the missus could pop the roof up a bit easier! £10 Wiper motor, bought this one to replace an existing one, turned out it was a problem with the wiring not the motor so assume this replacement is all in good working order (£20) both plus postage or collection from Bristol.
On a different note I'm looking to upgrade the springs on my devon pop top. How easy are they to fit. I have old grub screws that seem to have sheared off
They were a bugger to change, the grubber screws in mine came out ok. You may need to file down the old grubber screw and re-drill, tap and put in a new grubber screw if yours are broken, or alternatively find a donor set of struts with ok stops and grubber screws. Don't forget to lavishly grease the new springs once they're in. I did find a few articles over on vzi on how to change the springs. I'll see if I can dig them out at some point and PM them over.
