    No. :)

My thoughts are that were probably dubs and divas there.

    Did you enjoy yourselves?

Thought about going but other stuff took over. How was it ?

  4. We'll it was ok- a lot camping but loads of stalls selling cushions..... Hats etc but we needed a figure of eight strip yet no one really selling anything like that..
Plus we were in family camping and I wanted to catapult the man on the fair hooting and balling how good his ride was! (As such) and he (or his music went on until about 11.40 and with a two year old in tow not ideal..

Maybe we just need to target a few other shows and get a good TLB turnout. At the end of the day it's the people that make it work.

To be fair, if it's a hot sunny weekend you'll enjoy it a LOT more wherever you're camping, show or site or in the woods.

Winter camp Portsmouth and Summercamp Dorset Colin, they still died a death even thou Summercamp in Dorset was brilliant

I'm guessing they all died off because they mostly depended almost completely on a very few members own enthusiasm and "this will happen and be good" attitude. You certainly did a lot of that before you got distracted by your own "stuff".
@physiopro did similar for last year at "the castle", he gave it his full attention and consequently it was a great weekend.
This is just observation, I'd be up for organinsing such things if I could predict when and how my own circumstances will turn out. One day. :)

  15. biggest prob is we all live in different places , if we bought a big gaff somewhere n all lived together in perfect harmony  then none of us would have massive fuel bills and well youd get to sleep in col :D. They do take some druming up thou and their are sooooo many things going on elsewhere and peoples personal lives to fit stuff in around :( as you say shame thou coz they normally are great . We need a commiteeee :D

Spring camp last year and this year was really enjoyable, as was Techenders and Eastnor castle. What makes all the camps special is meeting other TLB'rs.
We've met some really lovely people through camping with TLB.

  17. Join up with Techenders, great turn out what ever the weather. When I say great I did miss out on this years great turn out

  18. Didn't go Springcamp as I didn't realise it was a TLB thing, and I was still getting bus ready.

Didn't realise there used to be other camps around the year.
Would definitely go to them as I enjoyed Techenders.

Some of the shows are like a larger version of a Witherspoon's but with Splitty Towels and other VW tat.

If the trade stalls didn't make you feel like the accountant on Shawshank Redemption who'd dropped his soap in the shower again that would help.

I feel zero kinship with people at the big shows, just feel like we are all getting stiffed.

I do like Techenders format though, but that sumerises my TLB experience thus far.

The techenders format is repeated in camps like Spring Camp. A load of van dwellers sitting round a camp fire talking about almost everything under the sun while a varied pack of kids and dogs run wild until bedtime. Not a shop or tat stall in sight and if you're very lucky, no internet signal. :)
