Petrol gauge gave up the ghost, ash tray unit came out in one, window winder fell off and puncture on the homeward trip! VWonderful! All after being ripped off to the tune of £20 to enter the "Event" or rather non-event. VWicked!
£20!!!!! Just to look at a load of stalls and buses for sale. That is a rip off. Glad I went to Slough. Sorry to hear your journey was hellish.
About 4 or 5 dubs for sale and about a 60 per cent reduction in traders , could have done the lot in half an hour or so. Journey not hellish, just cold and eventful. Sorry, yes a tenner each.
Glad I wasn't the only one who thought it was a rip-off, 2hours travelling to a show that didn't even fill the down stairs.come on show orgonisers, you can't do this'to people ,and expect to get away with charging £10 to a none event. Yours disgusted. Tonbridge wells!
You should have come to Slough swap meet. Busy but not manic. Bought some bits, had a KFC breakfast on route (who knew about this?? Well apart from Majorhangover and his good lady who I went with today) and all for £4 entry. And Dave drove which meant my gleaming Ragtop stayed shiny shiny. Cheers love
This is the first time Ive been to this event and I was dissapointed at the shortage of second hand sellers/autojumble and agree that the entrance fees seemed disproportionate to what was inside
sorry ive started a new thread i didnt see this one waste of time and money i went to see red9 design on a bus but they didnt have there bus i allso went to see blue bird custom beds for a t5 but they didnt have any thought i would get some idaes in the show and shine but i didnt most of the vans where for sale one pound eighty for a coffee ten quid to get in i dont normaly moan but i took a mate and told him how good it was waste of a sunday morning moan over it was good to see a few vw polos thou but not realy what i was looking for not many stalls
I agree with the previous comments, it was a very disappointing event. Within an hour of being there I was heading back home.
I went a few years ago when both upstairs/downstairs would be full, The big traders realise they dont need to do all the big shows, with the cost/hassle implications and also the [glow=red,2,300]FACT[/glow] that most people will usually go away to check prices online aswell.
Last years show was okay - what made it for us was the saturday afternoon meet up, convoy to the showground and the camping that evening, that was a brilliant night sunday was good too, we did a good line up! Sounds like this show has gone downhill too, glad we didnt go!
well yeah no yeah but... i got some stuff for my beetle i had a good camp out sat night sunday morning inspiration... a yellow bug... i brought some bits i needed. show n shine should of entered i might of won summit next project mmmmm maybe and to top it all i found a t 25 for sale for my m8 andy who was there. he did not like his latebay... he could not help it he was from oswesty, lol he sold it for 4.5 k someone had a bargain. but alass got a bargain t 25 and is gonna buy me some beers so a good weekend for me at Dub freeze ...
This show was an absolute ******* take and the organisers should be ashamed. An absolute rip of of those peepz that paid a tenner - for what exactly. Disgraceful. Pleased I didnt have to pay but I was shocked at how sparse vw bits actually were! an hour would have done it in the Hall.
