WANTED Driftwood

I'm looking for a piece of driftwood to mount over a fire place about 1200mm long x 200 mm wide x 30mm thick ,perhaps like a scaffold board ,if you know of piece ,thought it might be worth asking

Sand blast a piece of pine.

 

I have a 200 year beam in the garden ,was going to chop it up for firewood, but you are welcome to it...Plenty of chariteur...

 

is it to be a mantlepiece ?

 

Then to weather the wood soak some wire wool in vinegar overnight and paint it on the wood, to lighten the amount of greying dilute the finished vinegar/iron solution up to 50:50 with water. Test colour on an off cut first

 

old pine door ?? get it acid dipped then pressure wash it , raise the grain , mark it a bit then brown briwax or leave it natural ?

 

yes fixed to the wall with fibre optic lights set in to it

 

you've given me an idea ,one of my neighbours has got a pile of old doors in his garden

 

sounds posh , would that be a feature ?
