Dormobile roof on a T25???

  1. Hi, we have a 1986 T25 hi-top (boat) roof but miss the Dormobile roof that we've had on other vans. Is it possible to have the boat removed and replaced with a Dormobile roof and any clues who could do it?

  2. i trust you have measured the big holes...?

Do not forget the shape and size of the roof , it will not fit the profile as nice,if at all...;)

  3. I've not done anything about it yet, it's just on the wish list but I wondered if it would fit the profile because of the change of shape.

  4. tbh i do not think it will fit the profile...Just out of interest [I have a hightop T25]I would be so against putting a top and tent thing up there ,I am not saying it`s beautiful but it is practical ,have you a bed up there?

  5. T25 roof is wider too. Sure its do-able but not sure it would complement the shape tbh!

  6. Is it a bay with a t25 high top roof? Or a t25 with a t25 high top ?

  7. It's an Autosleeper Trident a t25 with a t25 high top. There is a pull out bed but only for children in the top. We had the dormobile roof on a Bedford Romany in 1964 followed by a bay in the 70's with the dormobile roof and the roof and bunks were so much better - you could even sit up in bed to read up there! We'd still have the bay but my Dad had to have a heart transplant and we thought our camper days were over. Dad's op was a success and we missed the camper so much and found the T25.

  8. @Ellie if you want more head height you would be better looking for a T25 westfalia top or another T25 top ....

    T25 on facebook [7000 members]might open a few more doors for you...

Very glad your dad had success with his op...
