  1. Hi
The sliding door and opposite cards on my van are a bit tired, the s come unstuck on the top edge, can I just glue it again ? And if so with what please
Also on the sliding door card theres damage to the hardboard and the clip has pulled out of the hole and can't be refitted.
Has anyone got any ingenious ways to fix his as the rest of the vans original panels are in great condition
    Thanks
    Al

  2. Hiya - I put a second hand pair of door cards on mine today. Had to reglue the edges and used evostick which seemed fine on the factory vinyl. Cleaned all the muck off first (they were very good actually tbh), and gave the glued area a wipe with some white spirit,

Not sure what to do if the card is ripped beyond being able to just put the clip in another position. How about using evo stick again and glueing some washers onto the board then put the clips into the washer. Should be thin enough to stop it bulging.

If the card is broken then why not put a splint of some sort onto the rear. You could buy new, bare cards or make some and put your vinyl onto them!

  3. Fiberglass matting and epoxy resin will fix the part where the clips supposed to fit

  5. Dicky, thanks I'll try to glue the vinyl back on with evostick
Paradox thanks is the matting brittle or will it flex a little?
Also, have either of you got any tips on filling two holes in my seat tubs where aftermarket seats were fitted?
    Thanks
    Al

Or just carefully cut off and remake the damaged part - I'm guessing the bottom 6"?

  8. Its very flexible dude it only hardens in shape after the epoxy resin has set

Ive done lots of work on speaker builds using fiberglass matting dude its a very versitile material

    As for your seats

Cheap option is nuts bolts and washers

Expensive option is a brass block underneath and fill the holes with weld

Tape, and the outer covering. Once fitted it'll be fine - there are loads fixed like this out there. If you have more patience, remake the card, carefully peel your existing vinyl off and stick it on the new one - another tried and tested way of ressurecting your cards and keeping the original look.

Cut off the dodgy bit of hardboard. Make a new one. Tape it to the existng hardboard on the inside, stick the vinyl back on the outside. :)

  14. Great Thanks, I'll do it soon
