Ok, here's the challenge: take two largish dogs, flat coated retrievers, the old one is quite chilled, the young one is a complete fruitcake, mix in two under 10 granddaughters and two grandparents and try to find a solution where everyone sleeps in their own place in our prototype bay Dormobile. Girls to start off in the bunks, wrinklies on the full width R+R, dogs on the floor, then all will move round and end up in different places, with me standing in the field at 4am probably. Serious question: is an awning going to help and, if so, any recommendations?
Girls in the van with the doggies and get yourself a Coleman 5 man instant dome tent with an airbed. Works for me.
We had 2 dogs when we got our bus. We ended up with me and one dog in the awning and Mrs Cunny with the other dog in the bus. It was handier for me as the portaloo is in the awning - so no opening and closing sliding door at 3 am.
Check out the OLPRO range , we’ve got a cocoon breeze with extension , basically a big drive away awning with an optional zip on extension that gives you two separate spaces if needed and two separate bedrooms . All air beam and fairly easy to erect .. worth considering
Bother in-law manages in a split with a Danbury roof. 2 kids in the roof bunks 2 golden retrievers on the floor 2 adults on the rock roll bed. it is funny when the get up in the morning the van just explodes
No, they lounge around on a variety of mats, blankets, and any towels that they can nick. Alfie, the 7 year old, will be quite happy in an awning. George, who is 14 months old, will be desperate to be with people if he knows they are accessible.
Yes, we've got a crate. The old one goes in to get away from the youngster! It's quite bulky so would take up a fair bit of space when travelling. Maybe need a trailer?
