I was just wondering how many of you have a good amount of heat coming from your stock heat exchanger setup.
Ours is most effective on defrost rather than heat (I am using effective in the loosest possible sense)
well, on a recent trip to cornwall, I got so much heat out of mine, that the carbon monoxide alarm which the mrs had put on the rear vent melted. When they work they are brilliant. I find the difficult thing the controls. i.e. they either are shut or permanantly open. I have a tricky left hand pod so at the moment its permanatly open. but in summer its shut, but I still feel heat seeping through it.
there's heat, if you call a wee dribble of air coming from the vents, it's lovely and warm in the summer :
As long as your heat exchangers (esp type 4) are in reasonable condition it is cost effective to sort it out (new cables, pods etc) if the heat exchangers are fubar'd its like £300 notes for a set of new ones.
Mine is OK but it takes a long time to start getting any heat out of it. Maybe 8-10 miles, which is a pain if I'm only doing 7! But, there is heat :-
The heating in our bus has always been pretty good, although the kids tell me it gets a bit frosty in the back. Might be because we have the rear vents blocked off (ones on the floor) so all the heat goes to the front. Cheers.
Ours does work but on a really cold day you can feel the draughts..the whole heating system needs a refurb and new cables. All in all, it does work though!
my early's heating is very good front and rear, running all standard throughout i havent voted cos it says late bay :-
It does work, thanks . With original HEs (important) in place and everything fixed, it's volcanic...you can drive in a t-shirt...
