does anyone know where this wire under the dash goes?

  1. After wiring my new ignition switch, I seem to have as stray wire floating around under the dash which I didn't notice before.

One of the wires from the starter switch (think it was the black and red one from memory) goes from the ignition switch to a block connector which has eight connections.

The offending wire appears to come from the 2nd connection along on the non-fuse box side and is brown/white - if that makes sense? So it looks like there is a brown and white wire coming from the fuseboard to this block connector, but the corresponding wire that comes from this goes from the block connector to...nowhere!!

Does anybody know where this wore should go and what it sis for.

    Many thanks.

Goes to the lights on or key still in the ignition on vans with a connector on the lock barrel

brown and white is a switch earth the main use in that area is the headlight dip
does your headlights work dip and main

  5. yep - headlights work dip- and main - wipers work - ignition works - wasn't taped up so must have been connected to something and possibly got knocked off when I replaced the ignition switch as the wiring is quite tight?
