Does anyone have a genuine windows 7 installation disc i can buy -beg - borrow

most new laptops/pc's aren't supplied with discs now, when i bought mine a year or so ago it asked me on initial start up if i wanted to create one, it used 2 or 3 dvd discs to make and i 'presume' it worked but i've never had to use it, i'm also unsure if it's ACER specific or if you'll need a keygen for it but if you are stuck you could try mine.

 

You should be able to download a copy for free from Microsoft. It's not the software you pay for, it's the licence to use it.

 

Ok so apparently you can't download it from microMarmite. Personally if i was in your position I would use a torrent site to download a copy of windows (the one you have the key for) and install from that. Depends on your moral standing really. Technically you have a licence to use windows.

I believe most laptops come with a backup install of windows in a hidden partition that can be found by pressing F8 or F12 on booting. This will restore the laptop back to factory, so anything on your laptop will be wiped.

posted 1st class 3 windows 7 discs plus one repair disc, plus one that says APP1 on it, no idea what that one is but they're the 5 i made when i first bought my laptop. it's 64 bit though so dunno what that means? anyway fingers crossed.

Post four "32 bit system". It's a different architecture, it's like putting petrol in a desiel engine.
