Dodgy rear panel!! Help?

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by Lardy, Apr 13, 2012.

  1. Have replaced the bottom section of the rear wing inc. wheel arch and skimmed. No problems there as I didn't want to use to much filler, looked fine in primer wasn't great to touch but couldnt see heat warping of the panel. However once painted it looks awful!! Any ideas or tips on how to skim this panel?

  2. hi with this being a big panel it needs filler. only thing to do is replace the whole panel and weld behind the sliding door runner cover sound alot but worth it in long run wish i did

  3. Thanks, will just try and reskim it. Only problem is it takes ages and loads of filler to build up and keep the shape. :(

  4. And another reason for skimming us the whole side panel costs 2-300 quid
