The biggest thing that pees me off is the cost of the resto. I bought some window rubbers the other day. I didn't think they'd cost much. 700 bleedin' quid! And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be worth it. I thought I would have got fed up with the thing months ago. But no, I'm just as in love with it now as I was when she arrived from Australia 11 months ago.
If they didn't pee us off at times and break down / rust / fall apart / cost a small fortune... They would be a normal boring car, not a vehicle you 'care' about and enjoy driving just for the sakes of driving. O0
oh yeah thats why i ve got 3 of the bloody things when i get peed with one i get the other out when i am fed up of all of em i take the wifes car
I agree that the cost gets my goat on occasion, some things seem worth more than you paid for them , and others leave you ready to turn over tables in a temple in a very Jesus type way, such as .. £10 for a fibre washer to stop the fuel tank letting go of liquid gold....apparently it's a weird size........ yeah metric :headscratch2: Paying good money for reccommended parts which happen to be a real pain to get on...i.e CV boot kits that are made of chocolate that melts in the sun...maybe chocolate mixed with glass fibre might ave lasted longer ? Really tiny bits that cost almost as much as their weight in gold. All said and done though, it's still cheaper than a modern motor, if a Lambda probe messes up or an igniter box gets attitude then it's about the price of an engine for a VW, so I guess I shouldn't whinge really........ did I say £10 for a fibre washer...a tenner...robbers all of em
Evening all , brand new engine in and out twice in 3 weeks then took it out after 3 months its now in bits in the shed, got a lovely lump in there now. They do give you the hump but when your on holidays or at a show you love them. I think if you ask any classic car owner you get the same answer. I love all old cars and i am lucky to have a couple of classic owners down my road (1953 3 wheeler, BSA bike with side car,and i think its a 1985 capri laser. Always got greasey hands on a sunday like working on the the 3 wheeler . Must learn to spell . Bat and ball
Come on next summer !!! You`ll all be chuffed to bits with them then ;D Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Watching the others in their rent a jelly mould ;D 8) ;D
