All the camper memorabilia around only ever seems to be splittys. That's all

 

Did you see the splitty tat thread before the site got re-done?

 

I do and the fact that the same person insists on buying you another mug or egg cup every year (and they're splittys) - The first year was fine but five years running - why do I need another ceramic money box vw camper - i have real one on the drive (camper that is, not a money box)

I know what you mean, mind you bay stuff can be found every now and then and is cooler as its rarer .

 

strangely just like a money box you keep putting money into a camper and never get it back out again

 

That's exactly my point. My misses, bless her soul. Has a thing about buying me splitty models. Not that I don't appreciate the gesture but how would she like it if I brought her some Marmitety tiny hair staightners?

i know! ive been saying this for ages!! the only model bays ive found are bloody 1/87th scale (meant for trainsets or some crap like that..)
am constantly asking about bay stuff when i see split stuff for sale, all i get is blank looks...i want some cool bay stuff!!
and yeah Mabel, im continually getting split related gifts... gets to the point i want to scream in their faces sometimes..

hahaha! i had a huge amount of this *stuff* and have been able to pass it onto my 2 year old nephew who loves them. much to my brothers delight
I dread it when sainsburys etc bring out a splitty 'xmas gift' as i know that one of them will appear for me under some wrapping paper at some point. it's fine getting them from children or students but not from those who profess to know and love me, it's just lazy!

 

Haha I love the term "gets my goat" and "rattles my cage" but in all seriousness I love all campers even the stupid Suzuki ones that arn't big enough to well ......do anything in!

 

i don't have a problem with splittys, i'd love to add a split, ghia, type 3 (square & fast) and porsche 356 to my collection (currently a bay and a bug, not much of a *collection* admittedly) but the ceramic *tries not to swear* stuff are just dust collectors which i feel the need to keep because someone bought them for me... i'd rather have the money thanks
