If yes think again its a far better world as we now have no risk of coming across this lot when thumbing through the racks. Ready? Think that 6 very good reason we are better for downloads.
back in the day when the music mattered more than the image Great song....written by Macca, naturally
Here's another one...the more you listen...the more beautiful she becomes....first impressions not so. Imagine how many fantastic musicians we would have been deprived off, if looks were as important then, as they are today
Are you sure that the TLBers haven't released an album under the name 'Brainstorm'? They look like some of the avatars.
What I miss is having the time to sit down with the record playing on a quality Hi-Fi with me in a comfy chair looking through the artwork on the gatefold sleeve. I don't just sit and listen to music anymore, and that's the biggest damn shame there is. There is always something else going on. It's on the car stereo while I'm driving somewhere, or it's on my iPod while I'm on a bus or a train or an aeroplane. It's playing on the radio while I'm doing housework, or in the shower. It's on in the background while I'm marking or doing some lecture prep. And the best way to just listen to music is to take an album and listen to it from beginning to end. To appreciate it, not as a collection of songs, but as a complete work in itself. And that's what an album is.
Just as @baybirmingham said I cant remember the last time I sat and listened to an album from start to finish I seem to only listen to my ipod on shuffle these days. The way we consume music seems to have changed forever.
Albums and vinyl are back in fashion, I've just had to fork out for a record player and a few albums for the eldest son. Took him to Big Bang a couple of years ago and he got hooked on ska. I used to be into ska and mod years ago so had all the records All of which me and the long haired general got rid of years ago. Guess what they were all the the ones on his wish list
