  8. Is there actually a building under all that foliage - or is it a barn find late bay?

  9. Anglesey few miles in from Treadur Bay theres a long small farm cottage with half a roof under the ivy brambles and a big stone barm behind it witha few other small stone buildings all falling apart and Grade II listed in the middle of 5 acres.. long term project to aim back to dry land... .

Good luck, the grade 2 listing bit can be a pain.

  12. I suppose with there being very little left it’ll make things easier with the CO. You can’t preserve what isn’t there…?

I’ve done worse. The last one is quite nice now but when I bought it it had a sign saying ‘ enter at your own risk and a full forest of brambles, trees and dilapidated sheds to fight my way through to get to the cottage, then when I got there I was confronted with the beware sign and a roof lying just above the floor. Planners made me renovate rather than rebuild as it’s an old crofters cottage, not much left of the original I argued but they weren’t budging!

Still it’s a nice cottage and I’ve finally plucked up the nerve to sell after owning it 20 years.

If there's any old photos of it I'd be looking at burning them. :)
