  1. I have a t4 reconditioned engine in my late bay with a twin webber carb & wondering if there are specific distributors and coils I can use.

Does anyone know what spec or info I can use to define what coil/dizzy I can use.

    Thanks

There is no reason (if you have a vacuum point) you can't use a standard dizzy or if not a 009. And you can use a normal coil.

  3. Ok cool thanks - I am new to this game so how can i work out if I have a vacuum point or a 009?

  4. Most dizzies are stamped/marked mate, if u can clean the body of dizzie and look real hard at same you may see the marks/stamp , if not try using a mirror , failing that remove dizzie. specifically, my own dizzie is marked up with 009 , hope this helps

If its a vac dizzy it'll have a vac can on it. (Looks like a flying saucer)

  6. Cool thanks guys

  7. There is a vacuum take of on the Weber conversion and a standard dissy can be used with it which in my opinion is superior to an 009 disributor. Also standard coil is fine. Are you experiencing a problem - if so let us know and we'll see how we can help. Btw I have this carb on my Type 4 engined bus and I am running an ignition system from the later Type 25 on mine as I didnt have the original distributor at the time and didnt like the 009.
