At last, ref photo above, been doing an mot on this today. Made in Brazil, 3 years old with 8,000 miles on the clock. Failed on emissions far too high so I took it for a blast up the motorway. I was very disappointed with it. Slow, noisy, poor gear selection and rusty gutters. I can honestly say my 1978 120,000mile bay is more solid on the road and nicer to drive.
I am usually delighted with a Brazilian that belongs to someone else and I need to test too.....you must be gutted.
After reading the title I guessed wrong on what the contents of thread would be about. First guess was sex. Second was marriage.
See a few down our way. I can never get used to the sound when they start up. Interesting to hear that they're pretty gutless.
I'm not trying to be mean about another person's van, it's just that I've sometimes wondered if I would have been better off with one of these. Now that I've had a go I'm a lot happier with what I've got. I thought they would be smoother and a bit more modern. It felt like I was pushing hard when I hit 60+
Do they run on bio fuel as well or am I barking up the wrong tree? I'd have thought a 1.4 modern engine was on par with a 1600 air? Guess the bhp is similar but not very tourqey?
