diago my first resto ever

  2. still no photos will try tommorow ;)
    but battery tray sorted rest of mot work cv joints,ball joints ,anti roll bar,brakes ,light all done i think /hope
    just water jets/wipers to do and i dare take it for the MOT
    the paint shops booked from first week in jan :)
    so now got to decide wether to take it for mot before paint or not ?

    think how long it will take to repaint it, rebuild etc and how much time you will loose on the mot...if its a couple of weeks, mot now..if its march then mot later...
     
  4. i know but just thinking still need to register him and if i ve missed something thats oily its not as bad when i ve not got to worry about paint i dont think it will be done before easter unless everyone that lives near me gets there busses done and are so board they need to come and help do mine lol

    Nowt worse than having a mint looking bus you cant use

    Paint, re-assemble, Mot. That's what I do anyway. :)

    not many new photos cos i always forget till i ve nearly done will take a load next time i roll him out me and fletch got him all stripped ready to go off to the body shop to get the dents taken out and the paint put on no real nastys just a lot of rain mud a full ash tray and 2 dimes just a few bits to clean and treat for surface rust oh and a old vw key but not for my bus lol

    step just starting to go rusty treated with rust killing stuff [​IMG]there was a tiny hole here after removing the rubber matts at lunch time a hour before the boyz from from the paint shop where due so out with welder to plug it [​IMG]

    Wow - best pic of the slider yet - it's fooking bad eh? Then again, you never know - sometimes a quick stamp and sorted, sometimes it just won't. You'll soon find out if it's a goer - not worth fighting if it won't bend back in the right place.

    Rest of the van's is great order isn't it? :thumbsup:

    turned up at the body shop this morning stuck the hinges on and

    they had a little play this morning before i got there :))
    it still needs tweaking but its loads better

  20. i manged to get my louvre windows done at work yesterday all new seals and a good clean up
    the grotty rotten rubber i started with friday afternoon[​IMG]

    all was going smashingly until i put the last screw in the last louvre [​IMG]

    aggghhhhhhhh

    got a bit of work done on the sink unit also did nt realise it was as cream cracked as it was

    fitted a new water pump and new handles also but not got a photo of the finished item doh will take one in the morning ;)
