Is the diagnostic plug an essential part of the wiring loom? Is it still a functional component? Rewiring my van and wandering whether I need to include the diagnostic plug.
no i ripped mine out to tidy the engine bay just make sure you take all the cables out or insulate the ends.
It can be used to pick up feeds ect, you can also make a simple remote starter to fit in it, There was a thread about it not long ago that listed all the connections.
