Devon roof seals?

  1. Anyone got any ideas how and where the seals go on the roof cap please? I've bought the kit from Vw Heritage and there's three sections, one large seal which has channels in it, j tube seal and what looks like a spacer seal? Sort of figured how they'd go together but pics would be good in situ? Cheers

  2. That's great cheers, only issue is I can't see the pictures lol!

  3. Try marking them by holding the left mouse button, release it and do a click with the right button. Choose "open new tab" on the pull down menu.

Or copy the url of the picture and paste it on the top of a new window of your browser. ;)

    EDIT:
The result should look like this:

  4. Ok thanks.

  5. This morning I managed to look at the pictures on the JK forum thread to find that the seal kit VW Heritage have sold me isn't the right one :(
I don't have the seal on the top, I only need the skirt one on the elevating part of my roof, so the question is....... What do I now do with theses seals? :/

  6. Well, it could be that you might need the one thats between the metal and the fibre glass on the outside - as someone wrote "stock never goes out of style" ;)

Try selling the other one or try to phone VW Heritage?

By the way - the additional seal on the top was the reason why I supposed that the pictures show an older version of the pop top - is there anyone here who knows how it should look like on later Devon pop tops? ???

  7. I've contacted VWHeritage returns so hopefully they'll come up with the goods and take my kit back?! Cheers for our help fella. Would've been puzzled for ages without those pics lol!!
