Devon Roof restorers recommendations

Discussion in 'Camper Conversions' started by bekyip, Jun 8, 2013.

  1. We can now get our roof fixed. We need the devon roof cap removed a new skylight fitting and new replacement vinyl concertina fitted. Can anyone recommend someone. Who has done this before.

  2. have you thought about doing it yourself?
apparently devor roof restorations go upto about £3000! its pretty easy to get your roof off and sort it yourself, especially if you have a big garage to leave your roofless van in.

  3. Yes we've thought about that. And..... we need someone else to do it. Any feedback welcome we're willing to travel.

Are you sure it's a good idea to remove the cap? It must have been put on for a reason. Sometimes they will be over-zealously stuck on as well.

  6. The cap was put on because of the leaking sky light

  7. what does an endless supply of tea and £2500 include? All parts and labour and a guaranteed leak free roof forever!

  12. I changed my vinyl concertina thing when my van was restored. The old one never leaked, but looked rubbish as it was stained with mildew.

    My new one leaks!

I'll try and find out who i bought it from so you can make sure you don't buy yours from them. It didn't even come with any fitting instructions!

  13. After digging through some old emails i think i bought the vinyl bellows from Creative Interiors - so avoid them!
