Devon roof interior sheet

  1. Ok, so i have nothing between my fiberglass tub pop top roof and the inside of my van (see the big bit of yellow on my profile avatar) and I would like to put something there.
I know that it probably should have some kind of ply wood covered in a roof headliner cloth, but I am considering doing something a little bit different and I wanted to know if I am doing the right thing.
I found a place locally that can do me a sheet of perspex or pvc or plastic to fit it. I just want a sheet of flat white something, what meterial should I go with?
There are little triangular 'a' plates in the corners of my roof to mount with holes in them... Am I supposed to have little clips to fit these to bolt into (i dunno, maybe like speaker fitting clips but bigger?)
Should I be screwing the sheet into other places than just the corners?
I have bought some of those funky LED strips and want to put them on the sheet as well, so I have good 12v lights too. Can you think of anything I should watch out for?

Do I need to post pictures?

  2. Ah.. speed clips... these are what I have been thinking I need to use? am I right?

  3. How heavy is the Perspex? Your Devon roof springs might not be able to take the weight, and the poptop will fall down.

  4. Lighter than ply, I'd expect?

  5. My ply is screwed up with self tappers in to the metal strips (Ali??) running across the underside of the pop top.

These are the 'a' plates I meant. I hadn't really thought about self tappers for this... I can't see any other holes in the frame, so I'm guessing that means they were not used originally

  7. I like the idea of opaque perspex with lights behind
