Had a fantastic week's road trip up that theyre north beginning with Dent for the Music and Beer Festival. That was awesome, @matty and his lovely wife Jill made us a most welcoming cup of tea whilst we set up the awning. Its always great to meet @ermintrude1978 up there and was equally great to meet @GONA66 and catch up with @steve77bay. Despite the rain on Friday, the weekend ended up in glorious sunshine, the selection of bands playing just gets better, we love it! @paradox was around, we bumped into him and Lisa - his youngest daughter gave us both the biggest hug Anyway, we have lots of photos to share so here goes Around Dent and down by the river then for a beer :
Next stop was over to The Camping and Caravan Club site at Beadnell Bay, across from the beach, set in a great spot, would recommend it http://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/campsites/uk/northumberland/chathill/beadnellbay Its a very small, sleepy village set on two bays with a very small harbour, nice walks along long beaches and a couple of pubs, we preferred The Craster Arms as the food was good along with decent beers on draught (plus 20% discount with C & C club membership). We would love to return and visit further north towards Berwick on Tweed and personally, I'd like to camp on Lindesfarne. and an old AA box
She was in a good mood to be honest Bern we had a good chat with her. She did have a rough time though, someone gave her a sh** load of abuse because a field flooded..it really upset her
Seahouses was a nice little town, again some great views of The Farne Islands and Bamburgh in the distance
Bamburgh Castle is well worth visiting, lots to find out about and with views across the bay to Lindesfarne, spectacular
We love Runswick Bay and Whitby so we thought we would end the week there, head down to Whitby for fish and chips and wind up in The Pier for some live music, the sun came out...eventually, happy days! http://runswickbaycaravanandcampingpark.co.uk/
